Three kinds of work
Pick the one that fits your project.
Is it time?
If two of these describe the same room, it is worth having us measure. Not sure? Ask the window consultant.
Air coming in at the lock or the sill means the weatherstripping or frame is no longer sealing.
02Haze between the panes means the seal has failed. Cleaning will not remove it.
03Windows that stick, drop, or will not lock can mean the opening is no longer square.
04Soft or stained wood at the sill usually means water is getting in.
05Cold glass can make a room feel cold even when the thermostat is set right.
06Windows are a small part of the wall but a large share of heat loss.
What changes
Comfort
New windows keep the inside face of the glass warmer and stop the draft at the lock, so the room feels more even.
Moisture
Haze between the panes means the seal has failed. Moisture on the room side is often humidity. We can tell the two apart at the measure — how to spot the difference.
Energy
Windows are a small part of the wall but a large share of heat loss. Savings are larger with older, single-pane glass and smaller if your glass is already in good shape.
How a job runs
We walk through the project, measure every opening, put the approach and price in a written estimate, and then install.
