Terms of use

Using this site does not hire us, and nothing on it is a quote, including answers from the website consultant. A price becomes real when we have measured your openings and put it in writing.

These terms apply to your use of windowsbyclearview.com, operated by Clearview Windows & Trim LLC (“Clearview”, “we”, “us”), a Washington limited liability company based in Vancouver, Washington. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

These terms cover the website. Work we actually perform for you is governed by the written estimate and contract you sign, not by this page. Where the two conflict about the work, the signed contract controls.

Nothing here is a quote

This is the most important paragraph on this page.

The cost calculator, the ranges it produces, the guides, the website consultant’s answers, and every figure published anywhere on this site are general information, not an offer, not a bid, and not a quote. They do not create a contract, and we are not bound by them.

Specifically:

  • The calculator states on its own page whose figures it is using and when they were last reviewed. Read that line — it is kept current with the data, and it is the authoritative statement of what the tool is based on.
  • Its output is a range, produced from what you typed in. It has no knowledge of your house, your openings, your frames, or your access. That is true whether the underlying figures are regional averages or our own pricing.
  • A real number requires a site visit. We measure every opening, identify the right approach for each one, and put the result in writing.

Do not make a financial decision on the strength of a number from this website. Get the measure.

Guides are general information

The guides describe how window replacement generally works in this climate. They are not an inspection of your building and not professional advice about your specific situation. Building conditions vary, permit requirements vary by jurisdiction, and only someone who has looked at your walls can tell you what they need.

The website consultant (/ask)

The consultant on the /ask page is an AI assistant. Its answers are general guidance, not a quote, not an inspection, and not professional advice about your home.

  • It can be wrong. It may misread your question or a photo, and it cannot see your walls, frames, or openings. Do not rely on it for decisions about safety, structure, moisture damage, permits, or cost.
  • It does not make commitments. Nothing it says is an offer, a price, a schedule, a warranty, or a promise that we will do the work. Only a written estimate or contract from us does that.
  • A person decides. A price, a product, and how a window should be installed are confirmed by us after we measure your openings. If an answer and our written estimate differ, the estimate is correct.
  • Keep private details out of the chat. Please do not type phone numbers, addresses, or other personal details into it. Use the call-back request or the estimate form, which the privacy policy explains.

Submitting the estimate form

Submitting the form asks us to contact you. It does not hire us, reserve a date, or commit either of us to anything. We may decline work for any lawful reason — including that a job is outside the area we can reliably serve, which we would rather tell you honestly than drive to badly.

Please give us information that is accurate and yours to give. Do not submit someone else’s contact details, and do not use the form to send us anything unlawful, abusive, or automated.

Our content

The text, photographs, diagrams, and design on this site belong to Clearview Windows & Trim LLC. The job photographs are of real work performed by Clearview Windows; they are not stock imagery and they are not licensed for reuse.

You may read, print, and share links to these pages. You may not republish the photographs or copy the site’s content for a competing commercial purpose without our written permission.

What we do not promise

We work to keep this site accurate and current. We do not promise that it is free of errors, that it will always be reachable, or that a published figure still reflects current market conditions on the day you read it.

To the fullest extent Washington law allows, the site is provided “as is” and we disclaim implied warranties in relation to the website. Clearview’s liability arising out of your use of this website is limited to one hundred dollars ($100).

This section limits liability for the website only. It does not limit, disclaim, or waive anything relating to installation work we actually perform for you, any warranty we give you in writing on that work, or any right you have under Washington’s contractor registration statute (RCW 18.27), the Consumer Protection Act (RCW 19.86), or any other law that cannot be waived by agreement. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Contractor registration

Clearview Windows & Trim LLC is a Washington contractor, registered with the Department of Labor & Industries under registration number CLEARVW74601. Verify it yourself using the Washington State L&I contractor lookup. You should do that with every contractor you let near your walls, including us.

Washington law limits what a registered contractor may claim in advertising, and this site is written to stay inside those limits. If you see a claim here that you think crosses a line, tell us and we will fix it.

Where we link to a manufacturer, a utility rebate programme, or a government lookup, we do not control that site and are not responsible for its content.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about this website will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Clark County, Washington, and we each consent to that venue.

There is no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver here. If you have a problem with us, we would rather you call.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do, and the version published here is the one that applies.
